New 17th & 18th holes open at Shrigley Hall
Designed by Marc Westenborg, built by John Greasley Ltd, our new par 4 17th & par 3 18th are receiving fantastic reviews from those who have tackled them.
The penultimate hole demands a fade from the tee and a pin-point medium iron to a green that features a reverse MacKenzie slope, greenside bunkers and the lurking water hazard to any wayward second shot.
The final hole plays all of its 174 yards, over water to a slightly raised green. The prevailing wind is generally into the player and from the left. A par to finish is a great result.
Also, in order to retain a par status of 71, what was formerly the par 3 16th, has been lengthened into a driveable short par 4. This change has been welcomed – especially taking into account the challenge of the homeward stretch!
